4-9 of June there will be XXI International Ecological TV Festival "To Save and Preserve". Its founders are Government of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra and The All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company.
Festival is an international unique project. These days Khanty-Mansiysk becomes a TV and environmental capital of Russia, where you can see the most actual foreign and native ecological documentary.
The symbol of the festival is a loon bird. According to the mansi’s legend the loon, had dived three times to the ocean’s bottom, took in its beak some soil for people, and this soil became the land. Many tales and legends were composed about this mysterious bird. Our Loon always chooses those who share the motto “Save and Preserve”, it helps to rise high and acquires the confidence in ones strength.
Nowadays mass media devote special attention to environmental issues. Every year state of our planet is getting worse. Participants of the festival are calling to rescue the world. They are real professionals that live TV and films. Their works are worth of recognition. The main award - the Golden Loon - gives to participants an opportunity to create new films that could affect people' world view. Today the importance to respect nature can be reveal through the TV screen. The main thing is to do it properly. And International Ecological TV Festival "To Save and Preserve teaches and promote this thing.
Every year the amount of films is increasing. Over the years of its existence festival united 53 countries of near and far abroad: Great Britain, Germany, USA, Italy, Spain, France, Iran, India, Moldova, Estonia, Lithuania and many others.
Festival’s program is full of business and culture events. For participants and guests are organized an open films screening, master classes, round-table discussions, TV and ecological projects, meetings with famous producers.
The festival is a meetings; meetings with old friends, new meetings, new emotions and impressions! Festival unites people who practise one religion - faith in profession and in ecological treatment to our planet.
