This is a story about a small polar bear cub named Aika. The filmmaker Yuri Ledin tamed this wild animal. Aika lived in the usual city apartment highrise building, the daughter and wife of the director called it a member of their family. The bear was friendly, grateful for the love and care.
Aika grew up and Ledin had to give him away to the zoo. A year later, a bear died. Do animals have a soul? The author sets this question to zoologists, Yuri Ledin and viewers.

There are only the live speech of characters who are engaged in the usual affairs for them: hunting and life arrangement.
